The Works of a Wannabe Artist (That’s Me!)

lotr9Bilbo Baggins.

So, I one day was sitting in my room, when I looked up at the pictures I had on my wall. I all of a sudden had the urge to draw something. So I stared at one picture, Bilbo, and began drawing. This is what the result was.

I amazed myself with this nearly successful picture I drew! I had not expected it to turn out well.

My second picture I drew was this one of Gollum. Startled again! How did this happen?

Then I thought, how about Legolas? As you can see, my miracle talent disappeared after the second success, but I didn’t just give up! I knew I would never be perfect, but I enjoyed drawing!

Alright, to be honest, I did this dragon before anything. I thought I could imagine what Smaug was going to look like, and that’s when I realized I can’t draw dragons! A little too late, I guess., but at least you can tell what I was going for, right?

This one of Bilbo and Sherlock I did because I wanted so badly for there to be a picture like this, so I drew it myself!

After a long while of not drawing anything, I attempted Samwise Gamgee. Didn’t quite work out as planned, but still recognizable, I guess.

Then things got way crazy, and kind of complicated.

I attempted Thorin. Instead I created an old man version of Richard Armitage… but again, still recognizable right? I have to say, one of my best.

And then I got really interested in chalk art. This was what I decided to draw! Can you tell what it is? Thinking?

It’s the Ringwraiths being chased by the river, which looks like horses! This was a huge success for me! And I had a great time doing it, despite the mosquito bites!

To conclude, I will leave you with this wonderful chalk art done by my sister’s friend, who was fourteen when she drew this! That’s what talent looks like!

Faramir: The Unloved Son

Faramir’s story is very sad. Growing up, he was always less than his brother. His father never cared for Faramir in the way he did Boromir. When Boromir dies, his father hates Faramir even more. Faramir loses all of his family, perhaps this is why Tolkien provides a happy ending for him with Eowyn.

When Faramir captured Frodo, Sam and Gollum, he told them that Boromir’s horn of Gondor washed up and that is how he knew of Boromir’s death, then we see Faramir’s flashback of finding Boromir’s body. When you think about it, why do you think he kept that from three strangers? Would it have done any harm for him to mention it? Was he doing it for the sake of respecting his brother?

Perhaps, because of his harsh childhood, he found it to be disrespectful, not only to his brother, but to those he was speaking with. No one wants to hear the details of a loved one’s death. When you think of a loved one dying, you want to remember them at their best. He would be robbing them of their ability to remember him the way they choose to. Or, he could have simply been to saddened by the fact his brother died that he didn’t want to speak of it.

When we see Faramir speaking with his father, we see that, despite all the hatred his father directs at him, he still respects his father. Even though our father in heaven isn’t anything like Denethor, you can see that there is symbolism similar to that. Even when God gives us trials, we still respect and love him. (I am in no way trying to say that God is Denethor… Faramir simply respects his father like we should ours.)

Faramir is a very humble man. He does as he is told, even if he knows it isn’t in his best interest. Even if it meant going to is own death.

One Faramir is dragged back by his horse, mostly dead, we learn another thing about Faramir’s character; through his father. In the end, Denethor thinks his son is dead, and it hurts him even more. He didn’t realize how another death would affect him.

You can kind of see what it does to people when they have so many trials. Faramir was living a horrible life, and yet he still was a noble and humble man, but when his own father didn’t care for him, he gave up, in a way. I think that Denethor is an example of what would happen if God truly did hate his children. We know he doesn’t hate us, in fact, he loves us, but if we believe that he hates us, we lose what makes us great.

When Faramir wakes up, I like to think of it as him overcoming his inner conflict. He chose to stay on earth, and because he was able to overcome his trials, he was able to become happy. He met Eowyn in the very place he was recovering from his trials. It is a great example of good consequences.

Deception Diary:Manifold Nature

Hi everyone!

I have been writing a book and am hoping to get it published some day. I know it’s far from perfect and my writing still needs a TON of work! But I would like to hear from you all to see if it is a good enough idea! I even have an author name set up, Violet Voright. Thanks for your help!

Here is the Prelude:

Dear Summer,

Not as long ago as you might think, the human race was in a struggle to create a free land. Many people today believe that this struggle was in a time that we do not have to worry about in our land. The history of all people is very different than you might have learned growing up. Despite what you may think, our world, which we call Earth, does not actually belong to the human race alone. That does not mean that the animals have claimed it, or that aliens are invading, it means that we have watched over our planet alongside other intelligent species since the first meeting of our people.

Our Earth’s history started the year agriculture began, known as the Agricultural Revolution, or Neolithic Revolution, to most. Although most of our recorded history is true, it neglects to mention what also started other than agriculture. Our world was shared with the other peoples that inhabited it as well. In fact, agriculture was first done by a Borialin (the northern people.)

Have you ever wondered why there are so many species of animals that look almost identical, but there is only one humanoid species? Well, because of our intelligence compared to animals, it became evident that so many different intelligent species could not coexist on such a large planet.

The people you have grown up to know as humans took action and separated our lands from contact and even knowledge of other species. The globe you have studied shows only the human land, our Earth, but our world is actually much bigger and more prosperous than you can imagine.

Unfortunately, Earth’s plan to erase other species from our history books did not solve any problems. All non-Earth peoples did not agree to making their people live ignorantly. They believed it made them vulnerable to each other. They chose to continue life as they knew it. Earth took the wrong turn and chose to create a society small enough to make a united world, that ended up extremely crippling their people. They had not expected history to take a coarse creating their fellow humans into enemies.

When Stalin of Russia was discovered to be of the Kathiran species, actions had to be taken by the Earth government to ensure there would be no interference from outside species ever again. The nuclear bomb was created. When outside peoples discovered this threat, all balance between societies was shattered. They would do anything to stop the use of a nuclear weapon. Even if it meant sending spies to kidnap Earth citizens and collect information to study the human race.

The leaders of Earth could take only a few measures to keep other species out. They hire trusted people to: take posts and watch the borders of Earth, keep the Earth people ignorant, and study the lands around us. I was one of those hired trustees.

Society as you know it was caused by the governments’ constant deceptions to their people. A lot of humans today believe they can do whatever they want and never have anything bad happen to them. This false sense of security is what Earth leaders use to keep control over their people.

The belief that states that one can not believe anything without seeing it yourself is what caused people to start questioning the government. The more secure people feel, the more they tend to look for something else to occupy their time. The government hadn’t expected their people to ask so many questions and demand what they call “rights.”

As time goes on, more and more people become curious. More people want to have all the knowledge and more people feel the need to be their own people and create things that the government sees as dangerous to their way of life.

I tell you this in hopes that you will someday understand what needs to be done to save our land from internal destruction and what things lie beyond your current grasp of reality. The way Earth is being run is not going to hold out for much longer, and there is no way of knowing when it will fall apart and how it will affect the entire world.

The story about the Earth doing what they do for the benefit of all is what my employers told me. If I told you what I found to be their real motivations for the deceptions of the human race, I would be sentenced to an execution where I would receive nuclear injections. The only advice I can give you now is to run. Run and save the entire planet before the human race can destroy it.

And please don’t think wrongly of me, I had no idea what they had plans to do with the information I collected. I know you are special and you will be able to know what to do to help all our lands.

I’m running out of time, I wish I could be there to see that you are truly safe. I want to make sure you know how much I care about you. Please don’t give up. I believe in you.
